The P-2612HW-F1 is an Integrated Access Device (IAD) that combines an ADSL2+router with Voice over IP (VoIP) communication capabilities to allow you to use atraditional analog telephone to make Internet calls. By integrating DSL and NAT,you are provided with ease of installation and high-speed, shared Internet access.The ZyXEL Device is also a complete security solution with a robust firewall andcontent filtering.

This ZyXEL Device provides shared Internet access by connecting the DSL port tothe DSL or MODEM jack on a splitter or your telephone jack. If you prefer not touse a DSL line and you have another broadband modem or router (such as ADSL)available, you can push the DSL/WAN switch (on the rear panel) to the WANside and connect the WAN port to the broadband modem or router. This way, youcan access the Internet via an Ethernet connection and still use the QoS, Firewalland VoIP functions on the ZyXEL Device
